Advisory reports
The Health Council’s task is to advise ministers and parliament on issues in the field of public health. Most of the advisory opinions that the Council produces every year are prepared at the request of one of the ministers. In addition, the Health Council issues unsolicited advice that has an ‘alerting’ function. In some cases, such an alerting report leads to a minister requesting further advice on the subject.
All advisory reports from 1999 onwards are (in Dutch) available in digital format and can be downloaded as PDF files. A small selection of the reports published prior to this date has been digitalised and is also available for download from this site.
Since a few years our policy is to translate all our reports into English. Executive summaries of most reports are available in English.
